A bit of fun this! I love the ’60’s/’70’s Universal front logo’s.
A bit of fun this! I love the ’60’s/’70’s Universal front logo’s. In fact I love ‘em all, from the sparkly stars of the 30’s version, and the orbiting aeroplane of the 40’s version, the logo’s always evoke a sense of excitement, and of course, is one of the most recognised images of our time, in all of it’s incarnations. So, as a loving tribute, I recreated all elements in 3D and 2D and composited it all in Shake. All layers were created from scratch, no use of original elements were used. It’s my first use of Shake, and it was a joy to create. Fun for all!!! Oh, and if that wasn’t cheeky enough, I just borrowed an excerpt of Bernard Herrmans score from ‘On Dangerous Ground’. Not a Universal Picture! But hey, I’m a big Herrmann fan, so meant as a tribute to him too, and not just a random use of copyright material…. as I said, it’s just for fun.
